During this presentation we will discuss a general overview of the Labor & Human Rights Department, the laws they enforce, with an emphasis on the wage and hour laws, the “hot topics” we commonly see related to wage and hour issues, ways to prevent these issues, available resources for employees and employers alike.

Youth Employment in North Dakota

We will be discussing youth employment and child labor laws in North Dakota, including the requirements for filing an age & employment certificate with our Department, some of the duties prohibited by state law for 14 & 15 year olds, exemptions from North Dakota’s child labor laws, etc.
