Description: North Dakota has antidiscrimination laws set in place to prohibit discrimination in the workplace.  This presentation will take a deeper dive into these laws, including common discrimination issues in North Dakota, categories that have discrimination protections on the state and federal level, and explain ways to prevent discrimination in the workplace.  We will discuss the laws themselves, issues of reasonable accommodations, harassment in the workplace, and retaliation, just to name a few.

Description: This session reviews the importance of planning, practicing, and getting kits for sheltering in place or evacuation of office, home and car.  Participants will review tips for kits, planning evacuation and staying informed. Participants also learn how to request free in-home safety visits (free smoke alarm installations including bed-shaker and strobe alarms and readiness education).

You'Il learn how to identify hazards, implement essential safety protocols, and understand your role in fostering a safety culture.

What’s happening, why, and how do I get notified? Companies want to be aware of trends and changes in their industrial hygiene performance over time. Once companies can understand the data presented to them they can easily identify next steps and actions to take. This can save them significant time and effort trying to understand the root cause of an issue and what needs to change. By comparing trends over time, companies can see the impact the decisions they are making have on their safety performance.
