Held June 1, 2026, at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck, Get Home Safe Day 2026 brought together safety leaders, employers, employees and community partners from across North Dakota.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the third annual Get Home Safe Day. Together, we celebrated workplace safety, shared practical resources and reinforced our commitment to helping North Dakotans get home safe.

The third annual Get Home Safe Day brought together employers, safety professionals, community partners and state leaders for a morning focused on workplace safety.
9:30 a.m. CDT | Networking and community gathering
Attendees connected with employers, employees, safety professionals, community partners and state leaders prior to the start of the event.
10 a.m. CDT | Get Home Safe Day press conference
Gov. Kelly Armstrong, WSI Director Art Thompson and Jason Uhlir, Safety Manager at Minnkota Power Cooperative, highlighted the continued growth of the Get Home Safe North Dakota initiative and the importance of workplace safety across the state.
10:45 a.m. CDT | Educational session
Safety leaders and industry partners discussed workplace safety culture, leadership and practical strategies to help employees return home safely each day.
11:30 a.m. CDT | Safety demonstrations
Attendees explored interactive demonstrations and safety resources from organizations and partners across North Dakota.
12:30 p.m. CDT | Event concluded
