Hands Only CPR

This session to learn chest compressions and other response actions for anyone witnessing a person collapse. No prior training required; not a CPR certification. Participants will review the response process and get feedback on their compression techniques. If time allows, a brief video will be included to review use of an AED. Participants will need to provide a compression tool for practicing: empty plastic bottle or foam item able to be compressed 2 inches and return repeatedly.

Hot Topics: Employment Discrimination

North Dakota has antidiscrimination laws set in place to prohibit discrimination in the workplace.  This presentation will take a deeper dive into these laws, including common discrimination issues in North Dakota, categories that have discrimination protections on the state and federal level, and explain ways to prevent discrimination in the workplace.  We will discuss the laws themselves, issues of reasonable accommodations, harassment in the workplace, and retaliation, just to name a few.
