WSI will be implementing an EDI billing requirement effective July 1, 2021. As of this date, a medical practice submitting more than 50 bills per year to WSI must submit both medical bills and the supporting medical documentation electronically through Carisk Intelligent Clearinghouse. (See North Dakota Century Code § 65-05-07.3)
Submission through Carisk is available at no cost to the practice. Carisk offers direct EDI connection or indirect EDI connection with a practice’s existing clearinghouse, dependent on that clearinghouse’s ability to meet certain technical requirements.
