Changes to Fee Schedule Guidelines

WSI has restructured the Fee Schedule Guidelines, offering a more user-friendly product for 2016.

All WSI Fee Schedule Guidelines now include the following sections: Pricing Methodology, Payment Parameters, Billing Requirements, and Reimbursement Policies.  Each section is in alphabetical order, with the exception of Reimbursement Procedures, which is in sequential order.

A summary of the information found in each section is included below:

• Pricing Methodology contains information on applicable status indicators, calculation of the reimbursement rate, annual updates, and limitations of the fee schedule.
• Payment Parameters outlines the rules for payment adopted by WSI, which may affect how WSI applies the pricing methodology to any given code.
• Billing Requirements covers the rules for billing enforced by WSI.
• Reimbursement Procedures summarizes how WSI communicates bill processing information and issues payment to medical providers.
