Change to Chiropractic Prior Authorization Requirements

Effective July 1, 2016, WSI is initiating a pilot program in which a chiropractor will be required to obtain prior authorization for chiropractic treatment extending beyond the initial office visit.

During the pilot program, WSI is discontinuing the previously allowed window period of 12 visits or 90 days for chiropractic treatment. WSI will reimburse for chiropractic treatment covered under an existing window period which is initiated prior to and extends beyond July 1, 2016.
