The 2021 North Dakota Legislative Assembly enacted changes to North Dakota Administrative Code pertaining to WSI’s prior authorization review of palliative care.
Effective January 1, 2022, WSI will no longer distinguish between acute, subacute, and palliative chiropractic treatment requests. A chiropractor requesting any treatment beyond the initial window period will need to either submit the UR-Chiro form by faxing to WSI or complete it online through the myWSI portal.
WSI will honor any existing approval for palliative treatment previously approved which may extend past January 1, 2022.
