Obtaining Coverage

An Application for Insurance is available as an online service. This service provides an easy, confidential, and timesaving way to apply for workers' compensation insurance coverage electronically. You may also download our Application for Insurance form, complete it and either fax it to 701-328-3750 or mail it to us. You will be contacted as soon as possible by telephone to review your application. Once your application has been processed, North Dakota Workforce Safety & Insurance (WSI) will calculate your premium based on the payroll estimate you have provided and mail you a statement.

If you have immediate needs such as a letter of good standing to the Secretary of State or a Certificate of Premium Payment as proof of coverage, or if you have a general question on the underwriting of your coverage, you may email us at wsiemployerservices@nd.gov. If you have any additional questions, please contact Customer Services at 701-328-3800 or 800-777-5033.
