everyone. Our online fraud reporting
service provides an easy and confidential way for customers to alert us to
suspected fraudulent workers’ compensation activity.
An Employer should file an "Incident Report" if a worker reports an incident
but does not seek immediate medical attention. WSI will pay the first $250 if
the injury or incident is filed with WSI by midnight (Central Time) of the business
day following the date of injury or incident. Should that worker seek medical
attention and a claim is received within 14 calendar days of the incident, the employer would have the $250 assessment
paid by WSI. Without the filing of the "Incident Report" the $250 medical
assessment would still be charged if a claim is eventually filed. In addition,
if the claim is filed more than 14 calendar days after employer notification,
and the Incident Report wasn't filed, the medical assessment paid by the employer is
$350 per claim.
