Loss Prevention

The question was raised if there are any other options for Safety Outreach Program (SOP) participants when they don't feel they can achieve lower frequency/severity claim levels in order to receive a discount?

The Loss Prevention Specialist will be working with their employers to identify areas of concern. It is the feeling that employers aren't part of the SOP program unless there is some improvement possible on their account. If employers do not feel they can have an impact on the frequency/severity rates to justify the effort of the SOP, they will be enrolled in the RMP+ program.

We really miss the regular safety consultant visits and although this has been getting better lately we wonder if there are plans to continue employer visits?

The Loss Prevention staff is currently reviewing both the RMP+ and SOP programs and is looking to introduce an alternative program that will provide more one-on-one contact with a greater number of employers. We are currently in the brainstorming stage but are looking to release this program next fiscal year, 08/09.
