General

The question was asked why the employer information doesn't automatically pre-fill the screens for the online incident report, when the employer name and account number is entered?

The program was designed for administrative ease and minimum employer information. When the data is entered it matches against the workers social security number and date of injury versus the employers' information. Another reason the screen doesn't pre-fill is because many employer accounts have multiple locations, which would require a much more advanced database design.

We have a WSI poster that states the IW has 7 days to report their injury but the $250 is assessed if the employer doesn't report within 24 hours. Doesn't this present an inconsistent message?

The 7 day reporting timeline is per our statute; however the 24 hour reporting information is a separate WSI incentive offering to the employer which waives the standard assessment charge if they comply.
